Adventure Summit TV Looking For Adventure Videos

Searching for the Real Adventurers

Adventure Summit TV is looking for your adventure videos to feature as a short series or TV show in the upcoming 2007 season.

This has been a whirl wind of do this, make that, post this, and optimize that, but we are enduring and hopefully winning the race against time. We have done what we can so far to get the word out; the rest is somewhat up to you to help support the first accessible TV channel in the world, Muahhahahaha!

Adventure Summit TV has a working agreement with a small TV show based in L.A. to at least email our information to its viewers. I am not sure the reality of getting any air time right now. We are also working through our connections to have Adventure Summit information chain mailed from e address to e address across the nation to further our exposure.

Soon look for our ads in publications like Westward and Adventure magazine. We will be creating posters for Adventure Summit TV and posing them in mountain bike shops and Mountaineering stores around the US. Also we will be doing some grassroots leg work around the Denver Colorado area. We will keep you apprised of our progress as we go.

Adventure Summit TV feels that by creating a new TV style station dedicated to the flavors of the adventure life style it will give our viewers (hopefully you) a real chance to be recognized for your skills and willingness to really live, remember what Brave Heart said “all men die but not all men truly live”.

Contact Adventure Summit today for information and video submission.

Interesting Quote

I just received an interesting quote from a colleague yesterday, that stated:

If you don’t design your own life plan, chances are you’ll fall into someone else’s plan. And guess what they might have planned for you? Not much.”
-Jim Rohn

I think this summarizes exactly what we are trying to do here—not only show the world how Adventure Summit members live but how we can inspire the viewers of Adventure Summit TV to live a fuller and more amazing life!

Remember everyone, get those videos in ASAP! I look forward to seeing what you have done and what adventures will be next.

Membership to AFTV is required in order to submit video footage to be highlighted on our program directory. The membership fee covers administration costs, site maintenance, advertising and some editing costs.

Membership cost is a one time payment of $100.00.
A small charge is necessary to post and consider each video after the first video submission and membership fee is submitted. Every submission after the first, which is covered by the membership fee, is a submission payment of $15.00 per video.
Editing costs - If you should choose to send completely unedited footage into AFTV for consideration, there will be an editing rate associated with each submission. Editing costs will be made clear to the submitting member before any action is taken by the ASTV team.
Amazing footage - Though membership is mandatory, members who show consistency in submitting amazing clean unique footage may be considered for sponsorship and/or funding in the future. (section III)

Copyright violations – If more than one copyright infringement is submitted by any one individual, that individual or group will be removed from membership status with ASTV.
All video submissions will be reviewed promptly. Not all video submissions will be accepted for broadcast use. Not all video will be appropriate for the video theme or programming being offered at the time.
If your video is accepted – You will be notified shortly after the decision is made, either by e-mail, postage or by phone. If there is an estimation of airing date, you will be notified. Otherwise, you will be notified at a later date. The theme of choice is to ASTV's discretion and
ASTV has all rights of refusual.

Section III – Sponsorship / Funding
We hope to be able to sponsor some film makers to document adventure life around the world within the year.
Sponsorship / funding are entirely contingent upon registrant response and site use. It is of the utmost importance that this site be launched and operated successfully in order to grant funding of expeditions globally.
Funding considerations include, but are not limited to, size and detail of the endeavor being filmed, expertise displayed, personality, showmanship, scripting, camera skills, timeliness of video submissions, editing experience and skill.

Section IV – Film lengths
15 minute episodes without commercial - if a commercial is played on your submitted video, the episode length will be about 20 to 25 minutes in duration.
30 minute episodes with 2 to 5 minutes of commercial content
60 minute episodes with 4 to 10 minutes of commercial content
Over 60 minute episodes must be submitted with roughly 60 minutes of content per submission episode. Accurate dates of remaining episode submissions.
Keep in mind that all times are estimates; Adventure Summit TV will edit episodes to the necessary length to fit viewing schedules.

Section V - Commercial submissions
It is a great idea to submit a commercial to your video. If you wish to have Adventure Summit handle the creation, send in the video with typed instructions attached.
Commercials will not be shown unless the footage of the episode is ether under contract or submitted.

Section VI Advertise on this site
Advertising on Adventure Summit is easy and very specific to audience and interests.
Advertise on a page – Place your ad on a specific page linking to your site. Contact for price and incentives details.
Advertise in commercial form, up to 3 per episode. This gives you the opportunity to market directly to people interested in the lifestyle you sell. Contact for price and incentives details.
Advertise select commercial links – This gives Alpine Summit viewers the opportunity to watch commercials non specific to their viewing interests. For example, a person viewing a mountaineering video will largely see mountaineering commercials. This individual may decide to fly to the destination of the video. This person now has the ability to select airline tickets in select commercials sections.
